Merseytravel has yet again voted to increase the tunnel tolls. From April it will rise an extra 10p costing £1.40 to make one trip. Wirral’s Conservative Merseytravel representative voted against this increase. My colleague, Esther McVey, explores the story here.

Just read in the Liverpool Post that the transport authority board have voted for the increase in toll charges – but only 6 out of the 18 councillors voted for it! Lib dems abstained. What is the point of them being on the committee if they are not going to vote?
The people of Wirral have once again been let down by Labour and the lib dems have let them.
